My story:

I have always loved to cook and eat. Over the past several years my husband and I have been on a weight loss journey that has led us to many different diets, and I enjoy finding ways to make delicious meals around the perimeters of whatever diet we are on.

In January 2025, I went into the hospital with what I thought was bad gut bacteria, or an undiscovered food sensitivity. After scans it was determined that I had a massive blockage in my colon and I was days from it rupturing.

It turns out I had stage 3c colon cancer. I underwent 6 terrible months of chemo and decided to change my diet and lifestyle in hopes of never having to do it again.

This has been my greatest challenge in finding ways to make dinner time enjoyable, while making sure I’m only consuming organic, natural foods that heal my body instead of hurting it. The results have been amazing and I am excited to share the amazing benefits of certain foods, and the recipes that help us enjoy them!! Eating good doesn’t have to be bad!!!
